CAPACITIES ELEVATOR BUCKETS & ELEVATORS

Multiply the CAPACITY of the bucket times the NUMBER OF BUCKETS per foot (12 divided by spacing) times the NUMBER OF ROWS of buckets. This will give the capacity in cubic inches of each running foot of the belt or chain. Multiply the answer times the SPEED of the belt or chain in FPM for the capacity discharged per minute.

Bucket Elevators - FEECO International Inc.

The buckets are spaced in wider intervals to prevent discharge interference from the preceding bucket and to assure maximum fill of the buckets at the boot end while moving at a higher speed. The design of this style yields optimized material fill and reduced interference between buckets.

Bucket Elevators | U Series | Universal Industries Inc.®

After product is transferred into the elevator, the buckets travel up at a low rate of speed and then slowly tilt over the head pulley to allow the product to gently cascade down into the discharge housing. This continuous cycle provides a smooth flow of material with minimal damage.

Experiences with Belt Bucket Elevators - Accendo Reliability

Belt speed The belt speed must be sufficient to throw the material clear of the bucket and into the outlet chute. Too slow and the material slides from the upturned bucket as it comes over the top pulley and falls back to the bottom of the elevator.
